Oliver Waespi, Switzerland Oliver Waespi (b. 1971) studied composition at the Musikhochschule Zürich. He pursued his studies at the Royal Academy of Music in London and in masterclasses in the United States at Vanderbilt University. Music by him has been performed in many European countries, Australia, Japan, Singapore and the USA, by renowned symphony orchestras and chamber ensembles, soloists, choirs and many illustrious wind ensembles. He has also had works performed at festivals and been successful in competitions. His output consists of works for orchestra, chamber ensemble and solo instruments. Waespi’s entry for the II International Uuno Klami Composition Competition is called Double Concerto for Guitar and Flute. |
